This is a pretty cool project that basically got completely ignored when it came out. It is pretty interesting/confusing lyrically. My favorite part of it are the beats that sample things like bright eyes and other indie bands.

Heres a project I'm pretty excited about its called Summer Movie Season by Spec Boogie. Its him rapping over the movie scores from all his favorite movies while telling the stories behind them. Its coming out sometime in July and I'll definitely put it on here.

Heres his most recent mixtape as well Kid gorgeous. Its great and kind of reminds of me Jay Electronica. Which is a big compliment coming from me haha.

This is a pretty interesting free EP from the white rapper Cage. He's defiantly one of the best white rappers i've heard, though thats not saying much. He describes his music as being progressive rap, which is evident from the alternative rock/rap mixture in his music.

Danger Mouse & Sparklehorse - Dark Night Of The Soul

This is a truly unique and unexpected album written by Danger Mouse and Sparklehorse. I've listened through it just a few times now considering it came out today but i can already see I'm going to be listening to it for awhile. The visuals on the album art all come from David Lynch. Oddly enough over a dispute with the record company this album may never be offically released.Instead the book of artwork for it will come with a blank cd-r saying to use it as you want.

Even though all lyrics were by Danger Mouse and Sparklehorse it features a lot of guest vocals and production by James Mercer of The Shins, The Flaming Lips, Gruff Rhys of Super Furry Animals, Jason Lytle of Grandaddy, Julian Casablancas of The Strokes, Frank Black of the Pixies, Iggy Pop, Nina Persson of The Cardigans, Suzanne Vega, Vic Chesnutt, David Lynch, and Scott Spillane of Neutral Milk Hotel and The Gerbils.
